Promoting Partnerships To Improve Veterans’ Health

For Industry Partners

In the dynamic and impactful field of medical research for veterans, NAVREF plays a crucial role in connecting groundbreaking clinical trials with the veterans who deserve state-of-the-art healthcare as a tribute to their service. As the only association fully integrated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NAVREF serves as a bridge between industry partners and the VA healthcare system, fostering partnerships that advance veteran-focused research and education.

We collaborate with a diverse network of public and private stakeholders—from pharmaceutical companies to medical technology organizations—dedicated to supporting the VA's research and education missions.

Through partnership promotion, information dissemination, and program development, NAVREF continues to expand opportunities for industry-sponsored clinical trials and healthcare advancements within the VA system.

Request an Exploratory Meeting

If your organization is keen on collaborating with our network of VA-affiliated research institutes, we would love to schedule a consultation to better understand your work.  Please reach out to us at inquiry@navref.org, and the NAVREF Clinical Trials Liaison team will work to schedule a consultation.

Are You a Clinical Trial Sponsor seeking VA Study Sites?

As a service to our industry colleagues, NAVREF will distribute information about clinical trial opportunities to our nationwide network of VA Nonprofit Corporations (NPCs).  The NPCs will share the information with potential principal investigators at their affiliated VA medical center(s) and will contact you directly if they're interested in pursuing the study.  We will also post the study opportunity on the private members-only section of the NAVREF website.  There is no fee for this service, and the turnaround time is typically within 2-3 business days.  If you'd like NAVREF to distribute information about your clinical trial opportunity, simply send the following information to pwest@navref.org:

  • A high-level study summary containing information that does not require a confidentiality disclosure agreement.  If you can provide a link to a ClinicalTrials.gov listing, that will suffice as a study summary.

  • The name and contact information for the person the site should contact if they're interested in participating in the study.
