Brief Description |
SIBCR supports over 150 research projects and educational activities at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. SIBCR administers sponsored projects in many research areas including diabetes prevention, control and pathophysiology; geriatric research and Alzheimer's Disease; mental health; including post-traumatic stress disorder; oncology research; pulmonary disease and critical illnesses, including mechanisms of respiratory failure; endocrine dysfunction; and cardiovascular disease. SIBCR also promotes education and training including programs in hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis, issues related to diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, mental health and cardiovascular disease. |
