Brief Description |
Both Hines VA Hospital and the North Chicago VA Medical Center are located in the Chicago area. Hines is affiliated with Loyola University's Stritch School of Medicine with a large number of combined residence training programs. Nearly all medical specialities and subspecialities are represented. The North Chicago VAMC is affiliated with Rosalind Franklin University's Chicago Medical School.
The research programs of these two large facilities (Hines and North Chicago) are merged and enjoy the benefits of a single Research and Development Committee, IRB, and nonprofit corporation which manages the funding and contracts associated with non-VA funding for investigators at both sites. Both sites have a large cadre of experienced clinical trialists and clinical research coordinators. |
