Brief Description |
The Cleveland VA Medical Center has several large, well-funded research and development programs. Currently, VA-funded research includes biomedical, health services and rehabilitation research and clinical and cooperative studies. There are two VA-funded centers of excellence, the Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Center and the Advance Platform Technology (APT) Center. Cleveland is an active participant in the VA Cooperative Studies programs, and has strong programs in both basic and clinical science. There are approximately 220 active research projects at this medical center.
Ongoing educational initiatives include an annual Clinical Nursing, Pharmacy and Psychology conferences, a Spinal Cord Injury Workshop, and the National Heart Failure Training Program. |
