Dallas, TX - Research Nurse Coordinator

Position Opening: Research Nurse Coordinator
Employer: Dallas VA Research Corporation
Location: Dallas, Texas
Position Description: The Research Nurse Coordinator (RNC) will be responsible for monitoring clinical activities in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS).  The CRU provides dedicated clinical research space for investigators, their staff and patients.  The RNC will initiate and conduct clinical trials using good clinical practice under the supervision of multiple Principal Investigators and serve as a resource to other coordinators.  The RNC will interact with patients for research related patient care and will place the highest priority on the safety and comfort of patients and their families.  The RNC's primary responsibility is the protection of human subjects while carrying forward the research goals of a project.
Position Classification: Part Time (20-25 hours)
FLSA Status Exempt
Relevant Work Experience: 3-5 years
Education: RN
Salary Range: DOE
